Jay-Z will headline the Super Bowl halftime show on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium. The announcement confirms the rapper’s role as the primary talent for the event, a position he secured through his production company, Roc Nation.
Roc Nation has produced the halftime show in partnership with the NFL since 2019. As a key decision-maker in the creative process, Jay-Z selected himself for the 2027 performance rather than booking an external headliner. The specific teams competing in the game remain unconfirmed until the final day of January 2027. The identity of any special guests also remains unannounced.
Beyoncé represents the most direct candidate for a featured role. The couple married in 2018 and share three children. Their musical history includes tracks such as "Crazy in Love" and "Drunk in Love." Beyoncé previously performed at halftime during the 2016 Super Bowl alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars. She also performed at the 2024 Houston game, an event often called the Beyoncé Bowl.
Rihanna is another likely candidate given her professional history with the rapper. Jay-Z facilitated her early career while serving as CEO of Def Jam Records. She joined Roc Nation in 2010. The two artists have released songs including "Umbrella" and "FourFiveSeconds." Rihanna made a surprise appearance at Jay-Z’s tour at Yankee Stadium earlier this year. She headlined the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show.
Blu Ivy Carter, the eldest child of Jay-Z and Beyoncé, has performed on NFL stages. She danced during the 2024 Houston halftime show and appeared on the Cowboy Carter tour. The artist frequently attends NFL games with her father. Her presence on stage would mark a continuation of family involvement in the event.
Eminem is the final name on the list of potential collaborators. He joined Jay-Z on stage during the current tour. The two rappers collaborated on the track "Renegade" from the album The Blueprint. Eminem served as a special guest at the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show, which featured a hip-hop lineup.
