The recent run of 60s and 70s has ended, bringing a return to typical November conditions for the region.

Rain is expected to move in around mid-morning on Friday and continue through the day, with highs in the 50s. The precipitation will persist overnight and exit from west to east on Sunday morning. Forecasts indicate a half inch or more of rain for the area. A brief period of snow is possible in the Northeast Kingdom and Coos County, New Hampshire, on Sunday morning, with 1 to 3 inches of accumulation possible at higher elevations in the White Mountains. The Northeast Kingdom may receive an inch of snow, which is expected to melt quickly upon reaching the ground. Sunday afternoon will be partly sunny with highs in the 40s.

A second system will bring lighter rain on Monday, with highs in the 40s and lows in the 30s. Tuesday may see a few breaks of sun, but scattered showers are likely, particularly in northern areas. Veterans Day will feature more widely scattered showers, and the mountains could see snow showers with highs in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Dry weather is forecast for Thursday and Friday, though temperatures will continue to drop. Thursday will be mostly cloudy, while Friday will be partly sunny. Highs for both days will range from the 30s to the low 40s, with lows in the 20s.
