The Kansas City Chiefs travel to Denver on Saturday to face a Broncos team that has won its last three home games. The two AFC West rivals first met in Week 1, when Kansas City defeated Denver 31 to 10.

The game kicks off at 4:25 p.m. ET at Empower Field at Mile High. CBS and Paramount+ will broadcast the matchup. Current betting odds list the Chiefs as 1.5 point favorites. The total points line for the game is set at 40.5.

Both teams enter this week in solid form. Kansas City holds a 5 1 record but suffered its first loss last week in a 20 3 defeat at Seattle. Denver sits at 5 2 after winning three consecutive games. The Broncos have dominated recent home meetings, winning the last three contests played in their own stadium.

SportsLine's advanced model simulated the game 10,000 times to determine likely outcomes. The model projects the total points will stay under 40.5. It cites the fact that the Under has hit in five of seven Broncos games and four of six Chiefs games this season.

Defensive performance drives this projection. The Chiefs have held three of their six opponents to 10 points or fewer. Denver ranks in the bottom 10 in both rushing and passing offense. However, the Broncos have limited their last three opponents to between 14 and 17 points in all three wins.

Offensive styles differ sharply. Kansas City relies on a high powered attack led by running back Kenneth Walker III, who has 701 rushing yards this season. Denver prefers a run first approach. The model sees value in the Under because both teams aim to limit possessions, making the Under a hit in 55 percent of simulations.
