Savannah Guthrie renewed her public appeal for information on Sunday regarding the kidnapping of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, who remains missing nine months after being taken from her home in Tucson, Arizona.

The TODAY co-host posted an image on Instagram featuring a drawing by her young daughter. The sketch depicts a blue umbrella surrounded by raindrops. Beneath the artwork, a caption reads, 'I know it might not seem like it but I really need my mommy.' Guthrie wrote that the child's artwork 'says so much about how I feel.'

Addressing her immediate family, including children Annie and Tommy and siblings Cam, Kristine, and Mike, Guthrie stated that the family 'ache[s] for her' and 'cannot move forward.' She urged the public to share what they know so the family can 'celebrate her and give her the dignity she deserves.'

Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing on Feb. 1, 2026. Authorities confirmed the incident involved a ransom demand. The Pima County Sheriff's Department, working with the FBI, has not yet identified a suspect. Investigators noted in July that a hair found in the home did not yield a match after testing.

A dedicated task force continues to pursue leads in the case. The sheriff's office recently reported on X that the team traveled to Florida to consult with lab scientists to advance the investigation. Guthrie reminded the public that a reward for information remains available.
