Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on November 6 that intelligence indicates Russia is preparing additional attacks on the country's energy sector, bridges across the Dnipro River, and civilian infrastructure.
In his evening address, Zelenskyy confirmed that the Air Force and the broader Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing protective measures. He emphasized the logistical challenge facing the defense forces, noting that the situation is not easy.
Zelenskyy specifically requested that partners accelerate the delivery of interceptor missiles for Patriot systems. He argued that every agreement and every day counts in this process, urging international allies to avoid delaying shipments.
The president also disclosed that he spoke with the team responsible for long-range strikes. He announced that Ukraine will conduct corresponding strikes against Russia in response to the ongoing threat.
During the address, Zelenskyy mentioned a conversation with the eight Nordic and Baltic countries. He said they were briefed on Ukraine's needs ahead of winter and that Kyiv expects their support. He added that efforts continue to organize meetings involving Americans, Europeans, and Russians to move toward a diplomatic track for ending the war.
Zelenskyy concluded by noting that he and the Commander-in-Chief are preparing personnel decisions for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
